FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Following a strategic and conservative launch in 2009, and steady membership growth since, Young Professionals in Yachting (YPY) has developed into a strong group of more than sixty young marine industry professionals. YPY is non-profit organization formed to educate, promote ethical business practice, and ultimately facilitate success for young professionals within South Florida’s yachting business community. The group meets monthly to share industry news and take part in educational sessions led by esteemed industry leaders. YPY also hosts quarterly social events, boat show related events at The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, The Palm Beach International Boat Show and the Monaco Yacht Show, as well as an annual banquet in January. "I'm delighted we now have an organized young professionals’ movement within the yachting community that carries with it the commitment to learn from and partner with valued industry resources and colleagues,” said John Jarvie, president of YPY. “This is a great way to support the up-and-coming generation of marine industry professionals and to secure the future of the yachting business.” Marine industry leaders who have recently participated in the YPY monthly educational sessions include: Danielle Butler, maritime attorney with Flowler-White and YPY member; Bob Saxon, president of International Yacht Collection (IYC); Carlos Vidueria, Rybovich Shipyard; Donna Bradbury, operations for BWA Yachting; Michael Moore, maritime attorney with Moore & Co. and International SeaKeepers Society board member; Kevin Merrigan, president of Northrop & Johnson; Marty Isenberg, marketing director for Cheoy Lee Shipyards; Tony Harris, chief executive officer of Boat International Media; Scott Garvis, Dale Carnegie Institute; Bernard Cronin, president of Sandler Training Institute; William (Billy) S.
